PRIVACY POLICY

We will never share your personal information or your dog’s biodata or health data with anyone but our own staff or a licensed veterinarian without your consent. However, by using our services you consent to your dog being photographed and recorded, and their image being used for marketing purposes, including on social media and in our marketing materials. If you attend one of our Group Classes or the Indoor Park, your image may be recorded and published on our social media channels. If you explicitly ask us not to record or publish your image, we will respect this.

Vaccination policy

We require evidence of the following vaccinations all dogs using the facility:

  • Rabies

  • DHPPL (Distemper, Hepatitis, Para influenza, Parvovirus & Leptospirosis)

  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)

All dogs are also required to have current flea, tick, and worm control.

Vaccines must be up-to-date. If you are unsure of your dog’s vaccination status, check with your vet.

Please note that for the Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccine, we accept a maximum of 6 months’ validity, even if the vaccine passport says it is valid for 1 year.

We may forego these requirements, on a case-by-case basis, if the dog has a medical condition that prevents vaccination. We will ask to see a veterinary note confirming this, and the owner must accept full responsibility for any associated risk. We reserve the right in all cases to refuse admission, but if this applies to your dog, speak to us.

All Whistle & Fetch clients will be reminded to submit evidence of the date of vaccinations prior to their first visit, and follow-up reminders will be sent when vaccines are due to expire.

general health & safety policy

All dogs must be microchipped, and owners may be required to provide the contact details of their preferred veterinarian in Abu Dhabi.

Our Trainers and Handlers pride themselves on being able to manage and improve over time almost any behavioural issue, and part of the value of Daycare is to improve behaviour through supervised socialisation. If, however, a dog’s aggression poses a threat to the safety of other dogs or people, the dog may be prohibited from Daycare, Indoor Park, or Group Class attendance and recommended a course of Personal Training until the issue is resolved.

Our staff are trained and equipped in canine First Aid. But in the event of a health emergency in the absence of the owner, a sick or injured dog may be taken to the nearest available veterinary clinic.

In case of fire, natural disaster or similar emergency, the facility will be evacuated in accordance with Abu Dhabi Civil Defence guidelines and requirements.

Please note that children (under 18) are not allowed in areas of the facility where dogs are present without a parent, and the parent may be required to sign a waiver.

Spay, neuter, and puppy policy

In general, we require dogs using the facility to be spayed or neutered for everyone’s safety.

Unspayed dogs may be admitted on a case-by-case basis, pending a behavioural assessment and subject to management approval.

Puppies that are not fully weaned or who require daytime feeding (usually younger than 6 months) may only attend our Puppy Programmes or other sessions dedicated to younger dogs. Contact us to learn more.
